Find out what makes integrated communication such an important tool for your company
There is a lot of talk about integrated (or 360º) communication, but it is not always possible to visualize exactly what this concept means. We see that a company's presence on traditional or digital platforms directly influences the company's commercial interests. To delve deeper into this universe, we can look at an integrated communication model developed by American researcher Gini Dietrich. This method is called PESO and brings together the four existing types of media:
Paid, Earned, Shared and Owned media:
Paid media – this type of exposure involves any action that includes payment for the dissemination of some material. We can include here both expensive advertisements on the back cover of an important magazine and sponsorship of posts on social networks.
Earned media – is basically the work that the press office carries out. In this scope we can include publications in different vehicles at no additional cost, it depends exclusively on the company's own communications team. It is not possible to control 100% of what will be presented through this type of media.
Shared media – covers all content that is shared on social networks. Many companies already use this resource to develop internal and external communication.
